Keuka College Falls at Lancaster Bible College 69-59

LANCASTER, Pa. — The Keuka College Men's Basketball team lost on Sunday at Lancaster Bible College by the score of 69-59 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference game.

Keuka College (7-7, 5-2 NEAC) was led by Greg Tyler (Edgewater, Md. / Southern) with 13 points. Trevor Powell (Manassas, Va. / Osbourn) added 11 points and James Barnes (Rochester, N.Y. / University Prep) finished with 10 for the Wolves.

The Wolves took an early 12-8 lead over the Chargers four minutes into the contest, but Lancaster Bible College responded with 10 unanswered to lead 18-12. Keuka College took the lead back on a three by Greg Tyler with eight minutes left in the half. Dylan Doupe (Phoenix, N.Y. / John C. Bridlebough) followed that up with his first three of the season to give the Wolves a 29-25 lead. The margin grew to seven, 37-30, but Lancaster Bible scored 10 of the final 11 points of the half over the final four minutes to lead Keuka College 40-38 at the half.

Keuka College tied the game up at 40-40 a minute into the second half, but that would be as close as it would get for the Wolves. Lancaster Bible College retook the lead and did not surrender it. The Wolves struggled from the floor, shooting just 19.4% in the half and the Chargers were over 42%. Lancaster Bible College continued on for the 69-59 victory.

  • Cliff Stevens (Ballston Spa, N.Y. / Ballston Spa) led Keuka with eight rebounds on Sunday. That effort gave him 458, moving Stevens ahead of Doug Hunter '90 and Hanif Davis '06 for eighth all-time in program history

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves have a week off to prepare for their next game. The Green and Gold will host SUNY Poly on Saturday, January 20 at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center. The Wildcats defeated the Wolves 76-70 earlier this season in Marcy, N.Y.
