KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Basketball team defeated the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford 96-80 in a non-conference game at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center on Tuesday evening.

Keuka College (2-1) had five players score in double figures, led by junior Sam Brown (Syracuse, N.Y. / West Genesee). Brown was 5-6 from three-point range and finished with 17 points. Newcomers David Oliveras (Great Mills, Md. / Great Mills) and Ryder Mansfield (Charlotte, N.Y. / Charlotte United) each finished with 14 points. Rounding out the double-digit scorers for the Wolves was Greg Tyler (Edgewater, Md. / Southern) and James Barnes (Rochester, N.Y. / University Prep) with 12 and 11 points respectively.

Keuka College 96 vs. Pitt.-Bradford 80

The Wolves came out firing, posing and early 10-2 lead over the Panthers. The Keuka College offense was able to get good looks at the basket and hit clutch shots when Bradford attempted to make a comeback. The Panthers made it 17-15 Keuka halfway through the first, but James Barnes hit a bucket that sparked a 7-0 run to widen the margin. Keuka College shot 55% in the half and 57% from three-point range (4-7) as the Wolves carried a 46-29 lead into the locker rooms at halftime.

The Panthers used an 8-0 run early on in the second half to narrow the margin to eight at 52-44, but Greg Tyler knocked down a three to push the lead back to double figures. Following a pair of free throws halfway through the second, the lead was down to seven at 67-60, however James Barnes found Ryder Mansfield for the layup on the next possession to stop any potential threat. Keuka would reestablish a double-digit lead and ride that to the end as the Wolves defeated the Panthers 96-80 on Tuesday.

KC Notes:

• The win was Keuka College's first ever against Pitt.-Bradford. The Panthers won the previous seven meetings, dating back to the 1995-96 season
• The Wolves shot 57.1% from the field. It was their best shooting performance since a loss to Johnson State last season. The field goal percentage ranks as seventh best in a game in school history
• Keuka was 10-15 from three-point range. The Wolves hit 10 threes only once last season and it was the best percentage performance since January 2015. It was the fifth best performance in program history
• Sam Brown's five three-pointers was the most in a game by a Keuka College player since Brown hit seven in the 2015-16 season finale against SUNY Cobleskill
• James Barnes and David Oliveras each set new career-highs in scoring for the Wolves

Up Next for Keuka College: On the weekend following Thanksgiving, Keuka College will play in the Lexington Rochester Airport Hotel Tournament, hosted by the University of Rochester. The Wolves will face Stockton University on Saturday night. Also in the tournament are the host Yellowjackets and SUNY Canton.
