Bridgewater State--Sophomore guard CJ Donaldson (Bridgeport, CT) tallied 17 points, six assists, four rebounds and two steals as Rhode Island College dropped a hard-fought, 81-75, decision at Bridgewater State in collegiate men's basketball action on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC sophomore guard Chris Farrington (Fall River, MA) scored a game-high 19 points.
• Junior forward Justin Campbell (New Haven, CT) scored 16 points and added seven rebounds, while junior center Grant Gillis (Jamestown, RI) narrowly missed a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.
• Senior forward Joseph Carty (Natick, MA) paced Bridgewater State with 17 points and eight rebounds.
• Sophomore forward Dimitri St. Louis (Brockton, MA) tallied 15 points and seven boards, while sophomore forward Rayshon Ward (Plymouth, MA) added 14 points, in the win for the Bears.
• In the first half, RIC erased an early two-point deficit with an 11-2 run to take a 25-18 lead with 6:41 remaining. Farrington highlighted the spurt with five points on a three-pointer and a jumper.
• Bridgewater State battled back and a layup from Ward gave the hosts a 29-27 advantage with 3:30 left to play in the stanza. RIC closed out the half on a 10-2 run with Donaldson connecting on a three-pointer and Campbell scoring the final four points on a pair of layups to give the Anchormen a 37-31 advantage heading into the locker room at halftime.
• RIC held a 46-42 lead after a layup from Campbell with 13:43 left in the contest. Bridgewater State would then use a 9-2 run to over the next two minutes to build the 51-48 lead with 11:40 remaining.
• There would be five lead changes and one tie over the next four minutes with RIC leading, 56-55, on a layup from Donaldson with 8:06 left on the clock.
• That would be the last lead for the Anchormen as Bridgewater State used a 21-10 run, capped by a pair of free throws from senior guard Rocky DeAndrade (Mansfield, MA), to take a 10-point, 76-66, lead with just under a minute left on the clock.
• Bridgewater State connected on 5-of-6 free throws in the final 30 seconds to help secure the 81-75 win.
BY THE NUMBERS
• RIC shot 56.1 percent (32-of-57) from the field, 37.5 percent (6-of-16) from the three-point line and 62.5 percent (5-of-8) from the free throw line.
• Bridgewater State shot 43.8 percent (28-of-4) from the field, 38.9 percent (7-of-18) from the three-point line and 94.7 percent (18-of-19) from the free throw line.
•RIC outrebounded Bridgewater State by a 33-31 margin, while the Anchormen had 22 turnovers in the setback.
