The Baruch College Bearcats lost 71-54 to the Dolphins from the College of Staten Island in a CUNYAC semifinal round contest played on Wednesday night at CCNY's Nat Holman Gymnasium.

The Dolphins shot 48 percent in the first half en route to building a 38-18 halftime advantage.

The Bearcats were able to cut the deficit to as low as 12 points in the second half, but the Dolphins managed to hold on to the double-digit lead to advance to the championship on Friday night.

William Sixsmith led the Bearcats with 12 points, while Chimaechi Ekekeugbor and Bryler Paige had 11 points each.

Kevon Murphy led the Dolphins with 19 points (8-11 fg).

The Bearcats will next wait to see if they get one of the four team regional berths to the newly restructured regional ECAC Postseason Tournament that will get underway on Wednesday, March 1 at higher seeds.
