WASHINTON, D.C. – The Keuka College Men's Basketball team was defeated on the road by Gallaudet University on Sunday by the score of 83-58 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play.
The Wolves (3-18, 3-13 NEAC) finish the regular season on the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center next weekend. The Green and Gold hosts Penn College on Friday night and St. Elizabeth on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Trevor Powell (Manassas, Va. / Osbourn) led Keuka College in scoring with a career-high 21 points. He also led the team in rebounding with nine in the game. Freshman Cameron Winston (Freeport, N.Y. / Pomfret School) added 10 points in the loss.
Keuka College led in the opening minutes of the game, but Gallaudet began to slowly pull away. Their big move came halfway through the half with a 10-0 run to make it 27-13. Gallaudet also had an 8-0 run in the first half as they took control of the game. Keuka College struggled in the frame. They had 18 turnovers in the first 20 minutes. The Bison ended the first on an 8-0 run to led 50-24 at halftime.
The Wolves would play better in the second half. Keuka scored 10 unanswered points midway through the second. That brought the score to 62-45, but that would be as close as the Wolves would make it on Sunday as they would lost to Gallaudet University 83-58.
