The Pacific University men's basketball team made five-consecutive free throws in the final 1:42 to post a 60-56 win over host Lewis & Clark on Saturday in Portland.

The Pioneers and the Boxers were tied at 55 and for the third time in the contest with 1:42 to play. After both teams each missed a chance at a go-ahead basket, the Boxers' J.B. Ewell (Portland, Ore.) made one of two free throws with :42 left to play to put the visitors ahead for the remainder of the contest. On the ensuing possession by Lewis & Clark, Pacific senior D.J. Christian (East Atlanta, Ga.) drew a charge to put the ball back in the hands of the Boxers with :30 to go.

Next, K.C. Harrison (Las Vegas, Nev.) stretched the lead to three with a pair of throws and came down with a defensive rebound on the next Pioneers' possession. Clinging to a three-point lead, Harrison made a pair of free throws to seal the win with :11 to play. Harrison finished the game with 13 points on the strength of three 3-pointers to lead three Boxers in double figures.

Freshman Davis Holly (Bend, Ore.) led the Boxers with 16 points to go along with seven rebounds from his guard position, plus R.J. Collins (Bend, Ore.) added 11. The win snaps a six-game losing streak for Pacific, who won in Portland for the first time since the 2000-01 campaign.

Lewis & Clark was led by Alex Jones, who had 11 points before fouling out. The Pioneers made 11 3-pointers with four-different players including Jones, who hit multiple 3-pointers.

Next for Pacific is its final road contest of the season when they will travel to Salem to face Willamette, who handed them a 70-69 defeat on Jan. 21 in Forest Grove.
