The Baruch College Bearcats suffered their third straight conference loss, 68-54, to Lehman College on Tuesday night in the Bronx, New York.
The Lightning built up a 12 point halftime lead (33-21) at The Apex by finishing the half with a 10-1 run.
The visiting Bearcats managed in the second half to get as close as five points (37-32) on a three by Bryler Paige, but the Lighthing finished the game by scoring 16 of the final 24 points over the last seven minutes en route to the win.
The Bearcats' bench outscored their counterparts, 30-9, but the Lightning won the battle of the boards, 48-33.
Rookie Allen Villar led the Bearcats this evening with 13 points. Chimaechi Ekekeugbor the Met Basketball Writer's Association Honorable Mention Player of the Week, contributed 12 points and six rebounds.
Damian Bellamy led the Lightning with a double-double of 20 points and 17 rebounds.
The Bearcats will return home on Thursday to host their Annual Battle of Lexington Event at 8 p.m. against the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College.
