FROSTBURG, Md. – The Marymount (Va.) University men's basketball team moved to 6-5 in Capital Athletic Conference play on Wednesday night, earning a key road victory over Frostburg State University, behind five Saints in double digits.

Paced by 14 points apiece by senior Michael Anderson and junior Dimitri Rucker, along with 12-point games by freshmen Ibrahim Kamara and LaDarius McCord, the Saints pieced together 45.2-percent shooting for the night to take an 11-point victory.

The game was tight through the first quarter with 10 ties and seven lead changes before Marymount built up a 40-point second half that saw its biggest lead of the game reach 17 at the 14:15 mark when Kamara grabbed an offensive board for the put back and a 51-34 advantage.

Kamara's put back was a part of 14-2 run for the Saints that opened the second half, as Kamara, Anderson and Rucker helped the Saints with the 14 points in the stretch that put MU ahead for the remainder of the game.

The Bobcats looked to erase the deficit later in the half, getting within seven, but the Saints answered with seven-straight points off layups by Anderson, Kamara and sophomore Brandon Rogers and two free throws by junior Alex Danko to get the advantage back to 15.

The men are back in action on Saturday, January 28, traveling to St. Mary's College of Maryland for another CAC matchup. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m.
