(NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.) - Thomas More College fell to President Athletic Conference (PAC) opponent Westminster College 74-72 tonight (Thursday, January 5, 2017) at Buzz Ridl Gymnasium in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. The Saints move to 8-4 on the year and 4-1 in the PAC.
The Saints had 10 player reach the scoring column and were led by junior center Simon Clifford (Louisville, Ky./DuPont Manuel) with 15 points, three rebounds and two assists. Other players that were in double-digits tonight were sophomore guards Damion King (Winchester, Ky/ George Rogers Clark) and Ryne Callahan (Morehead, Ky./Rowan County), who had 14 and 13 points respectively.
Westminster College had six players reach the scoring column tonight and were led by Deontay Scott, who finished with the game high 20 points. Other scores for the Titans that scored in the double digits were Cameron Kane Johnson with 17 points and went 11-for-11 from the free-throw line, Jason Pilarski with 12 points and Brandon Domenick with 11 points.
Thomas More hits the hardwood again this Saturday (January 7) as it comes home to the Connor Convocation Center to take on PAC opponent Geneva College. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
