Chicopee, Mass. – Senior co-captain Chris Turnbull (Ridgewood, N.J.) poured in a career-high 27 points, sinking 10 of 16 shots from the floor and six of eight tries from long range, to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 88-59 victory over the Elms College Blazers in men's basketball action this evening at Picknelly Arena.  Trinity, which has an eight-day layoff until its next game at No 19-ranked Keene State on Wed., Nov. 30, is now 1-2, while the Blazers drop to 0-4.

Trinity scored the first 15 points of the game, the first three on a try by sophomore Jeremy Arthur (Westbury, N.Y.), the next six on two three-pointers by Turnbull, and the next six on three consecutive layups by senior co-captain center Ed Ogundeko (Brooklyn, N.Y.).  The Bantams led, 57-22, at halftime having shot 55 percent from the field (22-40) and 55.6 percent from beyond the arc (10-18).  Elms outscored Trinity, 37-31, in the second stanza.

Ogundeko joined Turnbull in double figures in scoring with 19 points, making nine of his 10 field-goal attempts, and added a game-high 12 boards.  Senior guard Langdon Neal (Chicago, Ill.) contributed seven points, three assists, and three steals, and Arthur finished with nine points and seven rebounds for the Bantams.  Symon Smith had 18 points for the Blazers.
