- Location: Immaculata, Pa. – Alumnae Hall
How It Happened
- With the scored tied 4-4 almost 3-minutes in, the Ravens put together a 19-0 run over the next 3:39 to grab a 23-4 lead with 13:30 left in the half. Rosemont didn't stop there, as a three-pointer from Charles Presley with 9:05 left in the half gave Rosemont a bulge of 21 points, leading 30-9.
- Still leading 36-16 with just under six minutes left in the half, momentum started to swing towards the Mighty Macs. Immaculata cut deeply into the Rosemont lead, putting together an 18-3 advantage to sneak to within five points of the lead, with the Ravens still in front 39-34 with 1:45 left in the half. The Ravens would stabilize toward the end of the period to go into the break with an 11-point lead, 49-38.
- Rosemont seemed to figure out their problems during halftime, starting the second half with a 9-2 advantage to grab an 18-point lead, 58-40 with 16:05 on the clock. Immaculata slowly started to reduce the Ravens' advantage, but after a Clayton Wolfe bucket with 8:49 left in the game the Ravens still were ahead by 13 points, 73-60.
- Two free throws from Khai Roberts would put the Ravens back in front by what seemed like a comfortable 14-point margin, 85-71 with 4:34 on the clock. Over the next 3:32 the Mighty Macs put together a quick 16-2 run to knot the score at 87-87 with a minute left. A jumper by Wolfe with 28 tics left gave the Ravens an 89-87 lead, but on Immaculata's final possession, Roy Ferrell was fouled on his way to making a layup with eight seconds left in the game. Ferrell made the free throw for a three-point play to give Immaculata their first lead since early in the game. Rosemont's last possession ended in a turnover, and so Rosemont was unable to get off a final shot.
