The Baruch College Bearcats shot 57 percent (30-for-57) and out-rebounded by a 40-23 margin to record an 87-68 CUNYAC win on Tuesday night at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
The visiting Bearcats jumped out to a 43-28 halftime lead and went on to lead by as much as 22 points during the second half to improve 8-4 in the CUNYAC standings.
The Bloodhounds dug themselves into a hole early by shooting 30 percent (10-for-30) in the first half.
Chimaechi Ekekeugbor had his eighth double-double of the season with 23 points, 12 rebounds and three blocked shots.
Raymond De La Cruz (17pts, 6-7 fg), Doyin Isaac (12 pts, 4-6 fg) and Ryan Markoe (10pts, 6-7 FT) all scored in double-figures in the win.
Essien Epps led the Bloodhounds with 21 points in the home loss.
