BEVERLY, Mass. -- Max Motroni and Kamahl Walker combined for 43 points, largely behind eight three-pointers, to lead Endicott College in an 88-62 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's basketball victory over the University of New England on Tuesday evening (Jan. 19) at MacDonald Gymnasium.

The Gulls (10-6, 7-2 CCC) shot 52 percent for the game, including 55 percent (16 of 29) from long range. Motroni went 9-of-10 on the way to 23 points, and Walker finished with 18 as well as six assists. Taylor Rioux was third on the list of Endicott scorers with seven.

EC led the entire way, except for a tie a 7-all. Then nine straight points for the hosts was answered with seven by the Nor'easters, but a 12-4 run sent the Gulls into halftime with a 40-30 cushion.

UNE pulled back within five moments into the 2nd period, but Endicott responded with 11 in-a-row to expand the gap into double digits for good.

Off the bench, Gavin Dibble and Matt Lettick paced the Nor'easters (9-7, 4-5 CCC) with 13 and 12 points, respectively -- 11 and eight in the 2nd half. Big Blue converted 36 percent of its shot attempts on the night.

UNE will look to break its two-game skid on Saturday (3 p.m.) when Western New England University comes to town.
