LOS ANGELES — Jay Miller kept his hot offensive streak going with 21 points and Spencer Levyadded 19 with some sharpshooting from deep, but the Occidental men's basketball team was edged by Cal Lutheran 67-63 at Rush Gymnasium on Monday.
Season Impact: The Tigers fall to 9-5 and 3-2 in SCIAC play. Cal Lutheran goes to 7-6 and 3-3.
Miller scored 14 of his points in the first half, finishing the game 7 of 13 from the field and 2 of 3 from the 3-point line.
Levy finished the game 6 of 11 and 3 of 6 from the 3-point line.
Jeremy Sulker-Hall was the difference for the Kingsmen, scoring a game-high 27 points from the low block.
Connor McGuire added 11 points, including a trio of 3-pointers in the last 10 minutes of the game to help Cal Lu hold off the Tigers.
Austin Dewitz grabbed nine rebounds off of the bench for Oxy. Andrew Johnson scored 11 points, grabbed five rebounds, had three assists and two steals.
