Senior Tyler Hart scored a career-high 23 points and drained five 3-pointers, giving him 100 for his career, as the Cardinals captured the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa Invitational with a 67-54 win over visiting Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Wednesday in the championship game.

With the win, Fisher improves to 6-3 overall, while the Engineers fall to 6-3.

The Engineers led 7-5 early on, but Fisher took the lead for good on back-to-back 3-pointers from Hart.   The two 3-pointers were the first of six consecutive 3-point field goals (three from Hart, two from Alex Sausville and one from Tyler English), as the Cardinals pushed their lead to 23-14 midway through the first half.

Fisher would lead by as many as 11 points at 27-16 with six minutes left, but RPI would make three 3-pointers in the final three minutes to cut Fisher's lead to three at 37-34 going into the locker rooms.

Fisher shot 58.3% from the floor, including 7-of-14 from 3-point range in the first half and held a 19-12 advantage on the glass, but committed 10 turnovers, while forcing just two.

The Engineers pulled to within two points at 41-39 two minutes into the second half, but Fisher answered with a 12-0 run over the next four minutes to take a 14-point lead and kept its double-digit advantage for the remainder of the game.

Senior Chaz Lott tallied 10 points and a season-high 10 assists, marking his fourth career double-double.

Junior Keegan Ryan finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds, marking his fourth double-double of the season.

Sausville came off the bench and finished with 13 points.

Fisher will return to action next year at 6 p.m. on January 8th, as the Cardinals open up Empire 8 Conference action at Elmira College.
