LISLE, Ill. - The seventh-ranked Benedictine University men's basketball team held Aurora University over 40 points below their season average in rolling to a 90-62 win before a near capacity crowd.

THE DETAILS
• Following an even four minutes to open the contest, Benedictine embarked on a 9-0 run to take a double-digit lead
• Tim Reamer opened the spurt with a layup and John Dodson finished the stretch with a layup at the 13:21 mark, making the score 21-11
• Aurora pulled within four points at 21-17 and was within 25-18 before a 16-0 run blew the game open
• A rebound basket from Tahron Harvey opened the run, which saw Aurora fail to score for over six minutes
• Reamer scored the final five points of the run, which made the score 41-18 with 2:58 remaining in the half
• Benedictine held a 50-25 lead at the break
• The lead swelled to more than 30 in the second half, reaching 37 points at 90-53 with 2:19 to play before Aurora scored the final nine points
• Aurora pulled no closer than 23 points in the second
STAT LEADERS
• Four players scored in double digits for Benedictine
• Adam Reynolds tallied a career best 25 points, making 10-of-12 shots
• Reamer also put together a career effort, scoring 19 points off the bench and adding 12 rebounds for his first double-double
• Luke Johnson nearly accumulated a triple-double, scoring 11 points, grabbing 16 rebounds and adding seven assists
• Harvey also reached double figures with 11 points and grabbed nine boards
• Benedictine held a 55-27 advantage on the glass and scored 58 points in the paint
• Benedictine shot 67.9 percent in the second half and finished the game at 52.1 percent
• The defense held Aurora 41 points below their season average, which ranked fourth in the nation
• Aurora shot just 33.8 percent for the game after entering the night ranked third in the nation in field goal percentage
