Jack Shanahan (11-15 fg, 26 points) and Doyin Isaac (22 points) each scored career-highs this evening to lead the men's basketball team to an 85-62 home victory over the Cardinals of York College on Friday night in the ARC Arena.
The Bearcats jumped out to a 23-5 lead in the first 10 minutes and kept the lead at double-digits the rest of the way for the 23 point win before the upcoming Final Exam and Holiday Break.
They finished shooting 53 percent (32-for-61) from the field and 48 percent (11-for-23) from three to improve to 5-4 overall and 2-1 in the CUNYAC standings.
The Cardinals struggled shooting 36 percent (23-for-65). Rashaan Bailey led them in the scoring column with 16 points and five rebounds.
The Bearcats will return to action on Tuesday, December 29, with a 7:00 pm non-conference home contest against Gwynedd Mercy University from Philadelphia.
