Men's basketball falls at Covenant

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. -- Tyler Harville had a game-high 24 points, but the Berry College men's basketball team lost at Covenant College, 81-65, on Tuesday night.

Both teams now have a 7-14 overall record.

Harville was 8-20 shooting, and he also tied his season-high of six three-pointers in the loss. He was 2-4 from the free throw line and collected three rebounds in the contest.

Getting off to a slow start, BC was down, 39-19, going into halftime. The Vikings then picked up their in the second half and outscored CC 46-42 in the final 20 minutes.

Only one other BC player scored double digit points in the loss, Lukas Korn. Korn posted a double-double for the Vikings, scoring 11 points and collecting 13 rebounds in the loss. He was 3-10 shooting, as well as 5-6 from the free throw line.

Owen Jacobs posted nine points in the loss. Jacobs also collected ten rebounds for BC and was 5-8 from the free throw line.

For the Scots, Colton McGriff scored 22 points. McGriff was 9-11 shooting, as well as 4-7 from the free throw line. He also collected five rebounds in the win.

Although the Scots shot 53-percent (25-47) to the Vikings' 32-percent (18-55), Berry collected 45 rebounds to Covenant's 29. The Scots forced 27 turnovers and committed 15.

BC travels to Conway, Arkansas on Friday, February 13, to take on Hendrix College, at 9 p.m.​ EST.
