BC men's basketball downed by Rhodes

ROME, Ga. – Berry College fell to Rhodes, 76-56, on Sunday afternoon at the Cage Center.

The Vikings dropped to 4-9 and 0-3 in the Southern Athletic Association. The Lynx moved up 10-3 and 3-0 in the SAA.

Owen Jacobs led the Vikings with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Nick Marder contributed 12 points, and Samuel Powell added 10 points and 7 boards for Berry.

The Lynx led 38-33 at halftime. For the game, BC shot 31-percent (18-57) to Rhode's 49-percent (25-51). Berry and Rhodes tied in rebounding 38-38.

Luke Colling made 16 points and Tate Sledge had 5 rebounds for Rhodes. 

"I thought our team really battled through what was an extremely physical game," said Head Coach Jeff Rogers. "In adversity, I saw glimpses of us starting to come together as a team."

The Vikings next play at home against Oglethorpe Saturday at 3 p.m.
