Clinton, N.Y. - Sophomore forward Ed Ogundeko (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored 11 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, as the visiting Trinity College Bantams posted a 60-51 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men's basketball win against the Hamilton College Continentals in Margaret Bundy Scott Field House this afternoon.  Trinity improved to 12-2 overall and 2-0 in the league while extending its win streak to 10 games with a solid defensive effort. The Bantams held the Continentals to 37.9 percent field goal shooting and held a 40-30 advantage on the boards.  Hamilton fell to 10-4 overall and 0-2 in the NESCAC.

Senior forward Alex Conaway (New Haven, Conn.) dropped in 11 points and junior guard Andrew Hurd (Windsor, Conn.) added 10 points and five rebounds off the bench for Trinity. The Bantams shot 50 percent, including 3 of 5 from beyond the arc, in the second half.  For Hamilton Joseph Lin poured in a career-high 27 points and dished out six assists.  Ajani Santos  chipped in 13 points and four of the Continentals' seven blocked shots.

Neither team led by more than five points in the first half and there were three ties. Hurd's three-pointer with 1:56 left were the last points of the half and the teams went to the break deadlocked at 29-29.  Trinity started the second half with an 11-2 run as the Continentals made just one field goal in the first eight-plus minutes. A trey by junior guard Jaquann Starks (Hartford, Conn.) started the Bantams' spurt and senior tri-captain center George Papadeas (Athens, Greece) added a layup for a 34-29 lead. A jumper by Santos pulled Hamilton within three points with 14:23 remaining but sophomore swingman Chris Turnbull (Ridgewood, N.J.) nailed a jumper, Ogundeko drove in for a layup and junior forward Shay Ajayi (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored from the paint for a 40-31 Trinity cushion with 12:15 to go.  The Continentals didn't get closer than five points the rest of the way. The biggest lead for the Bantams was 11 points twice at 50-39 and 60-49. Hamilton shot 35.5 percent and missed all five of its 3-point attempts in the final 20 minutes.
