Chaykowsky nets 32 in defeat vs. Denison

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Zack Chaykowsky scored a game-high 32 points, but it wasn't enough as Berry College lost to Denison, 91-82, on Monday.

Chaykowsky, a freshman, converted 11-22 shots and made seven 3-pointers--one short of a Berry DIII record.

Owen Jacobs came off the bench to contribute 16 points and seven rebounds. Nick Marder and Lee McCloud added 14 and 10 points respectively.

The Big Red led 39-33 at halftime. For the game, BC shot 47-percent (27-57) to Dension's 59-percent (34-57).

Briggs King netted 23 points and 13 rebounds to lead Denison (7-3). The Big Red had the edge in rebounding, 39-23.

The Vikings (4-7) return to action on Jan. 9 at the Cage Center when Hendrix visits.
