JUNIOR GUARD MATT WALKER LEADS COUGARS WITH 19 POINTS @ RAMAPO

Mahwah, NJ- The Men's Basketball team fell to Ramapo College Roadrunners 89-74  earlier today. The Roadrunners to 5-2 overall while the Cougars drop to 1-6 overall.

The Cougars never led in this game. They tied the game at two, before Ramapo took the lead for good. Medgar Evers College kept up with the Roadrunners, only trailing by 10pts or less, for most of the half. Ramapo did not let off the gas pedal, and won the game 15pts, 89-74.

In the loss, the Cougars were led by Junior Guard Matt Walker with 19pts (8-18 FG-FGA, 2-6 3pt. FG-FGA, and 1-4 FT-FTA). Walker grabbed four rebounds, dished out five assists, and added two steals. Freshman Guard Reynaldo Eloy scored 15pts (6-16 FG-FGA, 2-7 3pt. FG-FGA, and 1-2 FT-FTA). Eloy grabbed four rebounds, dished out four assists, and added three steals. Co-Captains Pablo Segura and Valin Williams scored 13pts apiece. Sengura dished out two assists, and swiped away one shot. Valin grabbed 13 rebounds, and swiped away three shots. This is his 3rd double-double of the season. 

The Roadrunners were led by Ve'Shawn Polite with 26pts. Two other student-athletes scored in double-figures including the following: Frank Nock (20 points), and Christopher Moseley (14 points).      

The Cougars will be back in action on Tuesday December. 9th, 2014, when they play CUNYAC rival the Brooklyn College Bulldogs. Game time will be 8:00 pm.
