Galloway, NJ - Richard Stockton (2-0) used balanced scoring and depth to win the Stockton Tip-Off Classic over #8 Albertus Magnus (1-1) by an 84-75 final on Sunday night. Josh Blamon (Cinnaminson/Cinnaminson) led five Ospreys in double figures with 18 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. All 10 players that participated for the Ospreys scored points in the tilt. The Falcons are ranked #8 nationally by D3hoops.com
 
The Ospreys never trailed during the first half, at times stretching the lead to as many as 15 points before settling for a 43-33 lead at the break. Armin Cane (Pleasantville/Pleasantville) and Myles Reuben (Edison/J.P. Stevens) led the way with nine and eight points respectively. Stockton forced 16 turnovers that led to 27 points during the first 20 minutes of play, with Blamon snaring three steals.
 
With the second half underway, Stockton led by 50-38 before the Falcons clawed their way back. A 16-5 run spurred the comeback with Tavon Sledge and James Jennings helping cut the lead to 55-54 with 10:50 remaining. That was as close as the Falcons would come as the Ospreys never let them take over the game and sealed the win with Blamon and Nate Pacius (Neptune/Academy Charter) accounting for the last nine points for Stockton.
 
In addition to Blamon's 18 points and 11 boards, which tied a career-high, he pilfered four steals. Pacius chipped in with 16 markers and a game-high five steals. Cane scored 13 points, pulled down eight rebounds and dished a team-high seven assists while Reuben and Anthony Woodard (Atlantic City/Atlantic City) scored 11 and 10 points respectively. Woodard's total tied his career high in points and he also had a career-high four assists on the night.
 
For Albertus Magnus, Sledge led the way with 18 points, a game-high nine assists and three steals. Victor Ljuljdjuraj scored 16 points and added a team-high eight rebounds while Jennings tallied 16 markers.
 
Named to the Tip-Off All-Tournament Team were MVP Josh Blamon and Armin Cane of Richard Stockton, Victor Ljuljdjuraj and Tavon Sledge of Albertus Magnus, Zachary Brunner of Wilkes University and David Johnson of Lyndon State.
 
Stockton will take on Farmingdale State at home for their next matchup. The game is set for Wednesday night at 7 pm.
