Brandon Serrano Garners Second Team All-Skyline Conference Accolades

New York, N.Y. – College of Mount Saint Vincent senior forward Brandon Serrano (Hempstead, N.Y.) has been made a Second Team All-Skyline Conference selection it was announced by the league office on Friday. Serrano led the Dolphins this season in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots.

 

Appearing in all 25 regular season games and making 24 starts, Serrano averaged a team-high 17.7 points per game and hauled in a team best 7.7 rebounds per outing. The 6-6 forward was also tops on the squad this season in field goals made (172), free-throws made (92), total rebounds (192), blocked shots (31), double-doubles (7) and minutes played (735).

 

Serrano scored in double-figures for the Mount in all but three contests this season and totaled at least 20 points in a game 11 times. Serrano went for at least 30 points in a game twice, including a season-high 35 against Old Westbury on January 11, 2014.

 

Among the Skyline Conference leaders, Serrano finished the regular season ranked in the top-10 in three categories. He currently sits third in the league in scoring average, sixth in rebounding average and ninth in blocked shots.

 

Mount Saint Vincent finished the 2013-14 season with an 8-17 overall record and a 6-12 mark against Skyline Conference opponents.
