Five Badgers finished in double-figures with Cory Chase leading the way with 17 points followed closely by Bryan Hickey and Ron Adrian who dished out 16 and 15 points respectively.  Lester Alexander and Asim Khan each chipped in 11 points to round out scoring for the Badgers. Hickey pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds.
 
The Terriers were led by Levi Barnes and Stanley Greene Jr. who each notched 18 points in Thomas' winning effort. Garen Manso and Adam Carlsen contributed 14 and 10 points respectively.
 
Both teams utilized balanced offensive power to kick off the opening stanza. After 15 minutes of play, the teams had already tied things up four times. Johnson used two Alexander free-throws to pull away from Thomas 31-24 with just under two minutes to play in the half. The Terriers answered promptly with a 10-4 run to end the half behind by one point. Johnson headed into the locker room with 35-34 edge.
 
The Terriers wasted no time taking advantage of a Johnson lull, scoring eight points in the first three minutes of the half to lead the Badgers 44-35. With 4:48 left in regulation, the Terriers led the Badgers, 68-63. Alexander sank a 3-pointer from downtown and then a free-throw to bring the game within one point, 68-67. With the game down to the wire, the Terriers hung on to outlast Johnson ultimately winning, 76-73.
