Farmingdale State - 94, NYU-Poly - 67


Brooklyn, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's basketball team defeated NYU-Poly, 94-67, in a Skyline Conference game on Saturday afternoon. The Rams improved to 14-6 overall and 10-3 in the conference with the victory, while NYU-Poly fell to 3-17, 1-12.

Leading 31-30 with 4:53 left in the first half, senior guard Jonathan Annan (Staten Island, N.Y.) connected on a 3-pointer and junior guard Justin Bailey (Jamaica, N.Y.) hit 1-of-2 at the free-throw line to put Farmingdale State up five, 35-30. After increasing the lead to six, the Rams scored the final four points of the half to take a 49-39 lead into the break.

Farmingdale State opened the second half on an 18-6 run to increase their lead to 67-45 with 12:14 remaining.

The Rams shot 67% from 3-point range in the second half en route to the 94-67 road victory.

Annan led all scorers with 25 points on 10-of-13 shooting, including 4-for-7 from behind the arc, while sophomore guard Wilson Molina (Queens, N.Y.) scored 16 points and had 10 assists. Senior forward Donald Lawes (Queens, N.Y.) added 16 points and eight boards for the Rams.

Farmingdale State next will face Yeshiva in a road contest on Tuesday, February 11th at 8:00 p.m.
