BUFFALO, N.Y. – Four Hawks posted double figure scoring as the Hilbert College men's basketball team held on to take a 90-85 AMCC victory over Medaille College tonight to improve to 15-3 overall and remain in the top spot in the league with a 10-2 record. The Hawks dropped Medaille to 6-5 and forced them into a two-way tie for 6th place.

Hilbert's Jerame Owens reached for 19 points and 19 rebounds while sinking one long ball and swiping three steals in the emotional win. He needs just three more rebounds to move into 8^th place in Hilbert's career record books for rebounds in only his second season.

Jordan Kumro continued his hot-hand with a start tonight and chipped in 17 points sinking five of his 10 3-point attempts while adding three assists. Trevor Stark struggled from the field but made up for it at the foul line hitting 8 of his 13 shots and added five more assists and three more steals to his career average.

Nick Nadeau and CJ Hodge were fifty percent shooters from the floor with Nadeau giving Hilbert their fourth double-digit scorer (14 points). Hodge hustling for 8 points, two assists and 1 steal. Hodge is 10 steals away from claiming the 4^th highest career steals slot and 14 assists away from moving into #2 on the list.

Hilbert opened the game with a quick jumper and never trailed the rest of the night. The Hawks built their largest lead of nine points in the first half after Kumro sank a 3-pointer at 13:36. Hilbert used a 4-0 run before half time off an Owens dunk followed by an Owens steal which lead to a Sean Weisansal layup.

Kumro hit from downtown after the break which kept the Hawks momentum going. Trevor Stark's 3-pointer with 5:27 remaining gave Hilbert their largest lead of the game (76-59). Medaille cut the different to five points late in the game and Hilbert used the clock on their side for the win.

Robby Seyler led the Mavericks with 28 points and had some help from Jammal Coleman who added 22 points.

Hilbert hosts Penn State Altoona this Saturday with a 2pm tip time. The Hawks have only one more home game on their schedule. On February 15, Hilbert will host Pitt-Greensburg while fighting for the number one seed in the AMCC play-offs and will also celebrate senior day for CJ Hodge.
