Mounties Drop One in Overtime

Cresson, PA - The Mount Aloysius men's basketball team lost a heartbreaker in overtime to Pitt-Bradford by the score of 108-101 in AMCC action on Saturday afternoon.

Five Mount Aloysius players scored in double figures. Shawn Greenfield dropped in 24 points, followed by Dillon Bender (19), Davario Barksdale (16), Tanner Thomas (16) andNolan Doyle (15). Barksdale added eight rebounds while Greenfield dished four assists.

The Mounties were in command with a 47-32 halftime lead before Bradford erased the deficit to tie things up midway through the second half. The teams traded baskets down the stretch, and Greenfield hit a three with time expiring to send the game into overtime.

Bradford outscored the Mounties 17-10 in overtime due in large part to Eric Matheson's free throw shooting. He finished 16-for-18 overall at the line.

The Mounties fall to 7-7 overall and 4-4 in AMCC play.
