William Paterson Men’s Basketball Falls at Stockton, 81-57

GALLOWAY, N.J. – The William Paterson men's basketball team (14-4, 8-3 NJAC) saw its three-game win streak snapped with an 81-57 loss at Richard Stockton (14-3, 8-2 NJAC) Jan. 25.

 

Senior guard Javae King-Gilchrist (Teaneck, N.J./Teaneck) led the Pioneers with 15 points, four assists and three steals. Junior guard Jaques Conceicao (Massama-Lisboa, Portugal/Francais Charle Lepierre) added 13 tallies and six rebounds.

 

A 15-2 run put the Ospreys in control at 19-5 10 minutes into the contest, and Stockton owned a 34-19 halftime lead. WP was never able to get within single digits during the second period as the Ospreys compiled a 50-29 rebounding edge and shot 52.6 (10-19) percent from three-point range.

 

Josh Blamon led all scorers with 19 points. Rameel Johnson had 15 tallies and 15 rebounds.

 

William Paterson will host Montclair State Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 6:00 p.m.
