IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Centenary College men's basketball team concluded its four-game road trip with a 76-51 loss to Colonial States Athletic Conference foe Immaculata on Saturday afternoon.

The Mighty Macs (5-9, 3-4) received 44 points from their bench and held a 46-30 edge on the boards to earn a split of the season series. Centenary (2-13, 1-6 CSAC) knocked off IU 68-55 in overtime earlier this winter.

The Cyclones were held without a field goal during a four-minute stretch midway through the first half that helped the Might Macs take a 13-point lead.

Freshman guard Zachary Duymich (Allentown, N.J./Allentown) drained a triple to slice the deficit to eight, but IU closed the half with a 19-7 spurt and led 43-24 at the break.

Mamadou Diakite's pair of free throws at the 19:26 mark pushed the lead to 21 points for the Mighty Macs and it would remain above 20 for nearly all of the second half.

Senior forward Joshua Case (Catasauqua, Pa./Catasauqua) scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds to pace Centenary, while classmate Tim Brix (Monroe Township, N.J./Monroe) added 10 points, five boards and three assists.

The Cyclones shot 32 percent (17-53) from the field and recorded assists on 12-of-17 baskets.

Jose Ortiz topped all scorers with 17 points, while Barry Brockington finished with nine points and a game-high 12 rebounds. Immaculata drained 44 percent (28-63) of its shots from the field and 13-of-16 free throws.

Centenary returns home for just the second time in six weeks on Monday to face Baptist Bible at 7:00 pm.
