The SUNY Potsdam men's basketball team struggled to find their shot and fell on the road to SUNY Oneonta 72-51 in a conference game Friday night.

A 12-0 run in the early goings of the first half by Oneonta gave the Red Dragons (8-4 overall, 5-1 SUNYAC) the cushion that it would not relinquish as it carried a 36-24 lead into halftime.

Oneonta, who has now won four straight, never looked back as it led by as many as 26 points in the second half.
The Bears (2-10 overall, 0-5 SUNYAC) shot 30 percent from the field and were beat on the boards 46-35.

Senior forward Rob Duquette (Peru, N.Y. / Peru) led the Bears with a team-high 14 points and seven rebounds.  Duquette has reached double-digit scoring in five consecutive games and in eight of nine games this season.

Sophomore guard Joe Estramonte (Greenwich, N.Y. / Greenwich Central) shot 4-of-8 from the field including 3-of-6 from beyond the arc to finish with 11 points.  It marks the fifth game this season in which Estramonte had reached double digits in scoring.

Junior guard Tom Graf (Elbridge, N.Y. / Jordan-Elbridge) came off the bench to chip in with seven points and extended his streak with at least one 3-pointer made to five games.

Zach Mager, who is SUNYAC'S leading scorer at 22.1 points per contest, put up a game-high 24 points for the Red Dragons on 8-of-11 shooting with eight rebounds.

Potsdam will play next at SUNY New Paltz Saturday at 4 p.m. in a conference game.
