Division I Yale Defeats Bearcats, Bulldogs Shoot 61.9% From Three Point Range

The Baruch College Bearcats lost 88-49 to NCAA Division I and Ivy League Yale University on Saturday afternoon in New Haven, Connecticut.

The game was competitive early with a Brian McMahon basket giving the visiting Bearcats a 14-13 lead with 10:58 left in the first half.

Unfortunately, Yale took advantage of their height and quickness over the next three minutes to score 14 straight points to go ahead 27-14.

Yale finished the first half shooting a torrid 67.7 percent (21-for-31), which included 7-of-8 from three point range and a 22-8 margin on the boards for a commanding 55-24 halftime advantage.

The second half was more competitive with Yale outscoring the Bearcats, 33-25.
 
Raymond De La Cruz and Granville Gittens led the Bearcats (7-7) with 10 points each. McMahon finished the game with nine points. Eleven of the 13 players on the roster scored at least one basket.

Jack Montague led Yale (6-8) with 15 points (4-4 3fg) and six assists. They finished shooting 55.9 percent (33-for-59) from the field, 61.9 percent (13-for-21) from three point range, and totaled 33 field goals on 26 assists.
