RADNOR, Pa. – Fourth-ranked Cabrini outscored Centenary College 53-33 during the second half as it held off the Cyclones' upset bid, claiming a 96-72 Colonial States Athletic Conference men's basketball victory on Saturday at Nerney Field House.

Centenary (2-10, 1-4 CSAC) held the upper hand for most of the first half behind hot shooting from beyond the arc. The Cyclones drained their first seven three-point attempts and led by as many as 14 points during the opening 20 minutes.

Junior Djovan Beausejour (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) drained back-to-back triples to put Centenary in front 19-9 at the 12:20 mark.

The Cavaliers (11-0, 5-0 CSAC) cut the lead to six, but Beausejour started an 8-0 Cyclones spurt with a jumper on Centenary's next possession. Senior forward Tim Brix (Monroe Township, N.J./Monroe) recorded a three-point play and freshman guard Kyle Smith (Warwick, N.Y./Burke Catholic) followed with a fast-break triple to push the lead to 29-15.

The Cyclones led by 10 points with 5:50 to play, but Cabrini closed the half with a 17-3 run to take a four-point edge.

The second half belonged to the Cavaliers and defending-CSAC Player of the Year Aaron Walton-Moss. Walton-Moss scored 17 of his game-high 33 points and Cabrini shot nearly 63 percent (22-35) from the field during the final 20 minutes to take control of the game.

Walton-Moss also pulled in a game-best 18 rebounds and dished out four assists. A.J. Picard added 21 points as Cabrini's bench combined to score 61 of its 96 points during the game.

Beausejour recorded the first double-double of his career with 12 points and 10 boards to pace Centenary. Seniors Kyle Malavasi (Asbury, N.J./North Hunterdon) and Josh Case (Catasauqua, Pa./Catasauqua) also scored 12 points, while sophomore point guard Clayton Roker (New City, N.Y./Clarkstown South) scored a team-high 13.

The Cyclones shot 43 percent (26-60) from the floor, but misfired on their final 10 three-point attempts. Cabrini held a 41-34 edge on the glass and scored 44 points in the paint.
