Rosemont, PA – Keystone College's men's basketball team overcame a 22-point halftime deficit in Wednesday's Colonial States Athletic Conference game at Rosemont College, but the Ravens pulled out a 76-71 victory over the Giants after reclaiming the lead in the final two minutes of regulation.  Rosemont levels their record at 6-6 on the season with the win while moving to 4-1 in conference play while Keystone's third-straight defeat drops their record to 5-5 overall and 2-1 in the CSAC.

DaVaughn Thomas (Port Arthur, TX/Silsbee) completed an old-fashioned three-point play at the 14:34 mark of the first half to give Keystone an early, 9-8 lead, but Rosemont responded by scoring the game's next eight points to hold a 16-8 advantage with 12:37 left in the first half.  Thomas scored the game's next six points to bring the Giants to within one, but the Ravens countered with a 13-0 run to claim a 29-15 lead with 5:42 showing on the clock.

A lay-in by Rashaud Kelley (Farrell, PA/Paul Laurence Dunbar) with just over four and a half minutes left in the opening stanza brought Keystone to back within 12 points, but Rosemont outscored the visitors 15-5 to close the half and take a 46-24 lead into the intermission.

Kiwan Murray paced Rosemont with 15 first half points as the Ravens connected on 56.7 percent of their field goal attempts in the first half including a solid, 5-8 effort from downtown while going 7-12 from the stripe.

A quick, 7-0 spurt by the Ravens pushed their lead back to nine points, but Keystone answered with a 16-3 run, claiming their first lead since the early minutes of the game with 3:53 left to play on a Duncan Lunsford (Marietta, GA/Sprayberry) layup and extending their advantage to 70-66 when Dan Candemeres (Holbrook, NY/Sachem East) connected from downtown with 3:06 left on the clock.

The next four points of the game belonged to the Ravens before Candemeres gave Keystone a 71-70 lead with 1:46 to play after making one of two free throws before Dan Kearney gave Rosemont the lead for good by hitting a three-pointer with 1:22 remaining.  The Giants turned the ball over on their next two possessions allowing the Ravens to push their lead to four points with 24 seconds to play.  A Keystone three-pointer with 10 seconds remaining would not go and Rosemont grabbed the rebound and made one of two free throws to seal the victory while closing the scoring.
