Ferrum, Va. – Marymount University's men's basketball team returned to its winning ways with an 83-76 victory on the road at Ferrum on Tuesday.  The Saints improve to 7-2 on the season, tied for the most wins since the 2009-10 campaign.

Michael Anderson led the Saints with 24 points while Antonio Rouse and JC Hoellich added 15 and 12, respectively.

Marymount would take pair of early leads before the Panthers (3-5) responded each time to even the score.  The Saints would go ahead by as many as six, up 12-6, before Ferrum tied things up for the final time of the game at 14-14.

A 5-0 run by the Saints gave the visitors the lead for good despite Ferrum battling and keeping the game within two possessions for most of the half.  Marymount then closed out the frame on a 7-2 run to take a 39-31 lead into halftime.

Reed Scott's jumper to open the second half gave MU its first double-figure lead at 41-31.  The Saints wouldn't drop their advantage to any fewer than five points the rest of the way despite a late run by the Panthers.

Jamal Pullen led Ferrum with a game-high 27 points.

Marymount returns to action after the New Year as it hosts Lynchburg on January 2 at 3 p.m.
