WAYNE, N.J. – Junior guard Jaques Conceicao (Massama-Lisboa, Portugal/Francais Charle Lepierre) and sophomore guard Bright Mensah (Hackensack, N.J./Hackensack) each posted double-doubles as the William Paterson men's basketball team (8-2) finished off its pre-holiday schedule with a 91-57 home victory against Arcadia (4-4) Dec. 16.

The Pioneers harassed the Knights into 21.9 (7-32) percent shooting during the opening stanza, including misses on all nine attempts from beyond the arc, and WP knocked down 12 of its own 29 shots en route to a 47-17 halftime advantage. A 17-2 burst midway through the period blew the game open, transforming a nine-point edge (18-9, 11:44) into a 24-point lead (35-11, 6:53), as junior guard Sandy Burgos (Fort Lee, N.J./Fort Lee) and Mensah each contributed 11 first-half tallies.

William Paterson's largest lead of the game came at the 12:08 mark of the second half, 65-28, before head coach Jose Rebimbas turned the reins over to the bench. The Pioneers finished with a .470 (31-66) field-goal percentage and out-rebounded Arcadia, 49-35, despite only one starter playing more than 30 minutes during the contest.

Burgos finished with a game-high 17 tallies, Mensah picked up 15 tallies and a game-best 11 rebounds, and Conceicao collected 10 points and 10 boards. Senior guard Javae King-Gilchrist (Teaneck, N.J./Teaneck) posted 11 tallies and seven rebounds, and freshman guard Zach Frick (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) led all players with four assists.
