Men's Basketball Trumps NYU-Poly 86-41

The New York University men's basketball team defeated NYU-Poly 86-41 on the road in Brooklyn on Tuesday night, November 26.
 
NYU was led by an all-around team effort, with 14 players seeing the court, all getting at least seven minutes in the victory. The frontcourt tandem of sophomores Costis Gontikas and Evan Kupferberg once again took control for the Violets, scoring 14 and 19 points, respectively. Fellow sophomore big man Patrick Burns chipped in a season-high 14 points of the bench as well.
 
HIGHLIGHTS:
 
- In addition to his game-high 19 points, Kupferberg also pulled down six rebounds, while Gontikas and Burns each added seven boards to their nights.
 
- Senior captain guard Ryan Tana had another top-notch night as well, scoring 14 points along with three assists, three rebounds, and three steals.
 
- Jethro Auguste led the attack for the Blue Jays, notching a team-high 13 points and eight rebounds.
 
The Violets will be back on the court when they return home on Wednesday, December 4, when they host the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
