Selinsgrove, Pa. - The Trinity College Bantams built a double-digit lead over the Penn State University-Wilkes Barre Mountain Lions and held on for a 63-60 victory in the consolation game of the Pepsi/Weis Markets Men's Basketball Tip-Off Tournament at Susquehanna University this afternoon. The Bantams improve to 3-1.

Trailing, 14-9, nearly seven minutes into the game, Trinity freshman guard Brian Horn (Woodcliff Lake, N.J.) and sophomore forward Shay Ajayi (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored the next eight points for a 17-14 Bantam lead. The game seesawed back and forth until the five-minute mark of the first half when a layup by junior co-captain center George Papadeas (Athens, Greece) gave Trinity a 25-24 advantage with 4:06 on the clock and the Bantams led the rest of the way.

Leading, 33-30, at halftime, Trinity used a 14-6 run to take its largest lead at 50-36 after six straight points by Papadeas. Penn State-Wilkes Barre chipped away and cut the deficit to 61-57 with under a minute left to play, but Horn made a pair of free throws late to secure the win.

Papadeas finished with a team-high 12 points, six rebounds, and one block, while rookie forward Ed Ogundeko (Brooklyn, N.Y.) added 11 points, 11 boards, and a block, junior forward Alex Conaway (New Haven, Conn.) notched 11 points and eight rebounds, and Ajayi pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds. Conaway represented Trinity on the all-tournament squad.
