GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Head Coach John Baron claimed his 200th career coaching victory as Gwynedd Mercy handled Penn State-Berks, 90-53, Tuesday night in the Griffins' home opener.
Freshman Arron Goodman 18 points and 17 rebounds, both game highs as GM (2-1) led from start to finish.
Juniors Colin Gates added 15 and Justin Knight chipped in 12. Knight also added a personal-best seven assists and three blocks, tying a career high.
Darren Major led the Lions (0-1) with 15 points.
Baron, in his 12th season, now has a career mark of 200-107. He hit the 100-win mark on January 31, 2008 in a win at Cabrini.
For the game, Gwynedd totaled nine three-pointer, nine blocks, and nine steal, all while shooting 47.8% (32-of-67) for the game. GM also outrebounded PSU, 51-33.
The Griffins are back at it on Saturday when they travel to Elizabethtown in a 3 p.m. start.
