MAHWAH, N.J. – Fourth-seeded William Paterson (17-10) saw its New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Men's Basketball Tournament run come to an end with an 83-58 semifinal loss at top-seeded and 18th-ranked Ramapo (22-4) Feb. 19.

The Pioneers kept it close early, forging a 28-28 tie thanks to sophomore guard Jaques Conceicao's (Massama-Lisboa, Portugal/Francais Charle Lepierre) layup at the 6:02 mark, but the Roadrunners finished the first half with a 14-6 run to build a 45-36 halftime lead.

Ramapo made it a 17-point game less than five minutes into the second period (57-40, 15:19) as the Roadrunners shot 63.6 (14-22) percent from the field during the game's final 20 minutes while limiting WP to a 10-for-28 (.357) effort.

Conceicao scored all 13 of his points during the first half, adding a team-best nine rebounds.  Senior guard/forward Lance Brown (Teaneck, N.J./Paterson Catholic) and senior guard Julio Rosario (Perth Amboy, N.J./Cardinal McCarrick) each contributed 10 tallies.

Stephon Treadwell led the Roadrunners with 21 points and 13 rebounds, while Elgin Brown had 17 tallies and eight boards.  The win avenged two earlier losses this season for Ramapo against William Paterson – 65-64 Jan. 9 and 61-60 Feb. 13.
