Penn State Behrend's Adam Palcic hit a go ahead three-pointer with less than five minutes remaining and the Lions held on late for 60-53 win over the Pitt-Bradford men Thursday night.

It was a tight game throughout as points were at a premium all night. Tyler Fantaskey's jumper eight minutes into the contest capped an 11-3 start for the Panthers. Behrend quickly rallied and eventually took the lead on Nick DeLisio's long three-pointer with 3:52 remaining in the half.

Jesse DeLoof hit a jumper with 38 seconds remaining to tie the game and the two teams went into halftime knotted at 25.

Behrend would lead by as much as six in the second half only to see the Panthers retake the lead moments later on consecutive threes by Fantaskey. Keith Burgess' three-point play with 8:37 left gave Pitt-Bradford a 47-41 lead. The Panthers would go the next four minutes without a point and Russ Conley's basket with six minutes remaining tied the game.

A pair of Tyler Ferguson free throws a minute later put Pitt-Bradford back in the lead at 49-47, but Palcic drilled a three-pointer on the other end for the eventual go ahead basket. After a Ferguson missed jumper, Palcic drove the lane and scored, stretching the Lion advantage to 52-49 with 3:22 left. Ferguson responded with a layup inside only to see Behrend hit another three-pointer.

Two free throws by Brandon McClester made it one possession game with 90 seconds remaining and after McClester forced a turnover, the Panthers' Justin Quiggle was whistled for traveling. Conley scored inside with 30 seconds left and DeLisio hit two free throws to ice the win.

Behrend hit on 45 percent of its attempts and connected on six three-point shots. The Lions outscored the Panthers by 10 inside and held a 33-28 advantage on the boards. Pitt-Bradford shot 37 percent from the floor and was just 4-15 from behind the arc.

Ferguson had a team-high 13 points and DeLoof added 12. Burgess finished with nine points and seven assists, and Fantaskey chipped in with eight points.

Pitt-Bradford, which has lost four straight, falls to 7-9 on the season and 2-7 in the AMCC. The Panthers host Penn State Altoona Saturday.
