The Blazers, however, came out gunning in the second half and pulled away at the end to deal the Pipers a 64-55 setback at Hutton Arena.

Steph Pilgrim scored a game high 14 points to lead the Pipers. Je'Naya Brown (pictured)added 12 points and led the Pipers in rebounds with seven. Kara Poirier moved into the Top Five in all-time lists with six and added 10 points to the attack.

But St. Ben's shot 57 per cent from the field in the second half -- including six for nine from three point range -- to knock the Pipers back under .500 in MIAC play at 5-6 (5-9 overall).
