NEWBURGH, N.Y. - Behind 19 points from junior Joe Stabach (Staten Island, N.Y.), Mount Saint Mary College rolled to an 80-41 victory over NYU-Poly in Skyline Conference action on Saturday.  The Knights (7-5, 4-2 Skyline) won back-to-back games for the first time this season, while the Fighting Blue Jays (2-7, 1-4 Skyline) lost their fourth game in a row.

NYU-Poly opened the scoring with a three-pointer, but Mount Saint Mary responded with a 12-0 run and never looked back.  Stabach hit a pair of triples during the run and a dunk from junior Joe Henain (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) at the 16:54 mark made it 12-3, Knights.

Leading by six later in the half, the Knights ripped off another long run, this time of the 16-0 variety.  Senior Ryan Straub (Massapequa, N.Y.) canned back-to-back threes to create the spark, allowing the Mount to carry a 41-20 advantage into the locker room.

Another Stabach three-pointer opened the second half as the Knights continued to pull away.  The Fighting Blue Jays would get no closer that 20 the rest of the way and the Mount cruised to the easy victory.

Stabach hit on 8-of-12 from the field and 3-of-5 from downtown to lead all scorers with 19 points.  Junior Chris Pisciotta (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) added eight points and a game-high 12 rebounds for the Knights, who shot 49.2-percent for the contest.

Sophomore Jethro Auguste (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led NYU-Poly with 14 points.

Mount Saint Mary heads to Farmingdale for a showdown with the Rams on Monday evening.  The game is set for an 8:00 p.m. start in Farmingdale, New York.
