MADISON, N.J. – Junior Brian Scholly (State College, Pa./State College) hit five three's in the first half to help lead the Juniata men's basketball team to a 59-51 win over Drew University Saturday afternoon.  The win marks the Eagles second straight Landmark Conference victory.  They improve to 10-5 overall, 2-2 in the Landmark.

Scholly went on to finish with a game-high 22 points.  Fellow junior Kevin Stapleton (Indiana, Pa./Indiana) also picked up double-digits in points.  He earned 13 respectively.  The pair tied with a team-high six rebounds and junior Jeremy Hays (McMechen, W. Juniata led by just two points (26-24) heading into the break.  They tried to pull away in the second half but Drew battled to keep the game close, never letting the Eagles more than six points away until the final seconds.

Drew (7-8, 1-3 Landmark) was led by Luke Glass who finished with 14 points.

The Eagles stay on the road to face Goucher College this Wednesday, Jan. 19 at 7:30 p.m.  Juniata is 5-5 all-time against the Gophers since first meeting in 2008.  The Eagles swept Goucher last year by an average of 15 points per game and have taken three of their last four meetings.
