WINCHESTER, Va. -- A balanced scoring attack that featured four players in double-figure scoring helped guide No. 23 Virginia Wesleyan College to an 87-54 Old Dominion Athletic Conference victory Saturday at Shenandoah University.Senior Chris Teasley (Newport News/Menchville) scored 14 points and senior Chris Astorga (Suffolk/Virginia Beach Cape Henry Collegiate), sophomore Cameron Owens (Centreville/Centreville) and rookie Sedic Nady (Chicago, Ill./Virginia Beach Landstown) all scored 12 points each to help the Marlins to the win that snapped a four-game losing streak.Virginia Wesleyan (8-4, 4-0 ODAC) never trailed and pulled away in the first half with a 34-15 scoring surge in the final 11 minutes of the half.  Teasley led the way with 11 points, Astorga scored eight and Cameron pitched in with five as VWC opened up a 47-26 lead at halftime.The Marlins kept things going early in the second half, scoring the first 10 points to open up a 57-26 lead in the first four minutes.  Junior Trent Batson (Lewes, Del./Cape Henlopen) helped the effort with four points.Virginia Wesleyan opened up its largest lead at 75-30 with 10:13 on the clock after Owens scored on a layup.Overall, 14 players scored two to 14 points for the Marlins, who hit 50.7% from the field.  The host Hornets nailed only 35.4% from the field, led in scoring by Jared Carithers (Bowie, Md./Bowie) with 14 points. Xavier Alston (Fredericksburg/Courtland) tallied 11 points.Both teams finished with 38 rebounds. Junior DJ Woodmore (Virginia Beach/Landstown) led VWC with eight.  He also scored nine points and dished out four assists.  Dante Serale (Germantown, Md.) and Alston recorded six rebounds each for Shenandoah (3-10, 0-4).Virginia Wesleyan competes again on Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Bridgewater College at 7 p.m.--AMDG--
