REDDING, Calif. – Pacific rode a pair of 15-point performances from Daniel Zitani (Jr., Oakland, Calif.) and Charles Mosley (Sr., Hillsboro, Ore.) to lead the Boxers to a come-from-behind 65-60 win over Simpson (Calif.) in men's basketball action at the Heritage Student Life Building.

Zitani finished just short of a double-double, leading the Boxers with 15 points and nine rebounds to give Head Coach Tim Cleary's first game in his hometown as head coach.  Mosley came off the bench to score 15 points, including 11 of 12 from the free throw line.  Colin Wester (Sr., Sherwood, Ore.) added 13 points and eight rebounds as the Boxers shot 36 percent from the field (18-50) and 76.5 percent from the free throw line.

Jordan Collins and Jonnie Washburn led the Redhawks with 15 points apiece, with Collins going 7 of 11 from the field.  Ian Corella added 11 points and eight rebounds as Simpson shot 40.4 percent from the field (23-57) and outrebounded the Boxers 39-35.

With the win, Pacific improved to 5-2 on the season and marked their second come-from-behind victory over the Redhawks.  Simpson dropped to 3-11.

Pacific made an initial attempt to pull away early, opening up a seven-point lead on a Mosley jumper five minutes into the contest.  The lead was 21-15 for the Boxers when Simpson went on a 5-0 run to come within 21-20 on Collins' jumper midway through the period.

Simpson took their first lead of the game when Collins' short-range shot at the 3:38 mark made it a 24-23 lead.  Washburn gave the Redhawks a 31-26 lead on his three-pointer with just over a minute left, but the Boxers used a free throw by Dustin Bowser (Sr., Bellingham, Wash.) and a jumper from Zitani as time expired to pull back within 31-29 at halftime.

The Boxers took back the lead at the 16:46 mark of the second half on a Mosley free throw, but the game would remain close the rest of the way and the Boxers would not pull away until late.  Simpson owned a 53-51 lead with 3:25 to go, but Wester secured the game's 13th tie in the next possession and Danny Brakebush (Fr., Portland, Ore.) gave the Boxers the lead for good with his jumper with just under three minutes to go.

The Redhawks quickly moved to fouling the Boxers to try and gain possessions, but Pacific hit 8 of 10 down the stretch to ice the game.

Pacific concludes their two-game Northern California road trip on Wednesday when they face UC Santa Cruz.
