The Pitt-Bradford men's basketball team avoided a 0-3 start in AMCC play Saturday, routing Pitt-Greensburg 84-60 in its best offensive performance of the season.

The lead would exchange hands or be tied seven times over the next several minutes, the last coming on Tyler Fantaskey's jumper with 6:49 left, giving Pitt-Bradford a 29-27 advantage. The Panthers scored 18 of the half's final 26 points to lead 47-35 at the break.

In the second half, Pitt-Bradford would quickly build a 20-point lead and led by as much 24 before the final horn sounded. The bench contributed to score 15 of the team's 37 second-half points.

Pitt-Bradford limited Greensburg to 34 percent shooting and forced 15 turnovers. The visitors struggled from long-range, going 9-30 overall.

The 84 points were a season-high and 11 different players scored for Pitt-Bradford. Keith Burgess and Brandon McClester both had 16 points apiece, Jesse DeLoof added 13 and Tyler Ferguson had 12. Burgess dished out a career-high seven assists, and both McClester and Burgess had six rebounds.

"A very good team win," said head coach Britt Moore. "We gave up some early open jumpers, but we were able to do a better job contesting as the game went on. I thought every guy who went in played very hard."

Pitt-Bradford improves to 5-2 on the year and 1-2 in the AMCC. The Panthers travel to St. John Fisher next Sunday for its final game before winter break.
