Medaille Men Drop AMCC Opener at Mt. Aloysius

CRESSON, PA—The Medaille College men's basketball team traveled to Cresson, PA this afternoon to battle the Mount Aloysius Mounties in a AMCC battle. Today, the Mavericks would wind up on the short end of things, losing to Mount Aloysius (76-52).
 
The Mavericks started off slow and allowed Mount Aloysius to jump out to a 49-34 halftime lead. The Mavericks didn't help themselves either, hitting only 13 of 32 first half shots, good for 40.6%. It wasn't much better in the second half where the Mavericks were outscored 27-18.

The one positive for the Mavericks was they hit 10-12 from the free throw line. Otherwise, there wasn't much to take from the game. They were outrebounded 32-21, giving up 11 offensive rebounds on the night.
 
Leading the Mavericks in the game was Jammal Coleman who finished with (10) points and added (5) assists. Also contributing for the Mavericks was Alex Baron who chipped in (10) points of his own. Josh Laureano finished with (6) rebounds as well in the contest.
 
The Mavericks will head home following this road game and prepare for a three game homestand that begins against Hilbert College on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
