NORTHFIELD, Minn. (1/4/11)-- The Cobbers will finally return home after spending the first four days of the New Year on the road. On Wednesday Concordia committed 13 turnovers in the second half and lost at St. Olaf 73-57.

The loss is the second straight for the Cobbers to start the New Year. CC is now 4-7 overall and 2-4 in the MIAC. The Oles win for the third time in the past five games and move to 5-6 in all games and 4-2 in league play.

Turnovers and an early second-half run by St. Olaf were the keys to the game on Wednesday. Concordia committed 18 turnovers overall and allowed the first 12 points of the second half on their way to the 16-point loss. CC was never able to get closer than 10 points in the final 15:00 play as they shot 41.4% (24-for-58) from the floor but only 21.4% (3-for-14) from 3-point range. The 18 miscues turned into a 21-7 margin for St. Olaf in points off of turnovers.

The Oles shot better than 43.0% from the floor in both halves and knocked down four of their seven attempts from behind the arc in the second period to earn the win.   

The Cobbers had only one player score more than nine points in the game and were led by reserve center Scott Flotterud who finished with 10 points. Ebo Nana-Kweson had nine points to go along with six rebounds and three assists. Jason Huus came away with nine points and four rebounds.

St. Olaf had three players figure in double figures in scoring. Stu Neville led all players with 15 points as he went 7-for-10 from the floor. He also had a game-high eight rebounds.

Concordia returns home to host Carleton on Saturday at 3 p.m.
