RADNOR, Pa. – The Castleton State College men's basketball team saw its season draw to a close in the first round of the NCAA National Championship, 104-87 to No. 5 Cabrini at the Nerney Field House Friday evening.

Castleton's season ends at 19-10, while Cabrini advances at 27-1.

Mark Comstock (Rutland, Vt.) scored a team-high 22 points and senior Greg Hughes (West Rutland, Vt.) added 11 in the loss.

Freshman Aaron Moss-Walton (Camden, N.J.) scored a game-high 23 points to go along with 14 boards off the bench to lead five Cavaliers in fouble-figures. Moss-Walton's 9-for-10 performance from the field was followed by 17 points apiece by Cory Lemons (Wilmington, Del.) and Fran Raferty (King of Prussia, Pa.), a dozen from AJ Williams (Wilmington, Del.) and a double-double 10-points, 11-rebounds from Goran Dulac (Levittown, Pa.).

After trailing early, Cabrini slowly built its lead to 24-19 at the 9:39 mark in the first half, then used a 13-0 run over the two minutes to break the game open. Moss-Walton scored the final six in the run, before a Logan White (Hartford, Vt.) jumper stopped the surge momentarily.

The Cavaliers pushed the lead to 57-35 by halftime and kept the lead hovering around the 20point mark for much of the second half before a late 9-2 run sliced the deficit to 93-80 on a Comstock lay-up with 3:05 remaining. It was as close as the Spartans would come.
